UK violation of Chagossians rivals Beijing abuse of Uyghurs. Rogue State Britain [Editorial]

Maybe not. Arguably China has better treated the Uyghurs than what Britain has done to the Chagossians.

In its election platform statements from the UK Labour Party and from its leader, Jeremy Corbyn, there has been issued a remedial statement aimed at repairing massive damage to Britain’s reputation. At least somebody understands the severity of the damage.

The damage is massive. Britain has become a rogue state. Boris Johnson maybe thinks he is either Donald Trump or Rodrigo Duterte but in fact neither of those two have done what Russia and China have done in violation of international law, and Johnson has trumped both Russia and China. Britain officially sucks.

Johnson’s violation of the Chagossians matches what China is doing to the Uyghurs and his thumbing his nose at the United Nations on the Chagos Islands issue makes China’s nine-dash-line look legit by comparison.

Several Canadians told FPMag last Friday that they do not want Canada to be part of the “monarchy” any longer.

Why is the political spectrum so wide in Britain?

From a brighter patch in the darkness came Jeremy Corbyn:

“Allow the people of the Chagos Islands and their descendants the right to return to the lands from which they should never have been removed.”

This is something a majority vote of the United Nations General Assembly and the African Continent have insisted on as well as an International Court of Justice decision early this year which said that the continued forced possession by Britain of the Chagos Archipelago is illegal.

But the current British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, is thumbing his nose at the international community joining Russia and China as a pariah that says, “screw international law“.

What of course is most worrisome about that is the simple question, “What law is to be broken next ?”

Let’s face it. Despots really suck. When does the world resurrect the idea of pro-democracy politicians running countries instead of buttheads.

While Britain heads down the proverbial trash chute… its people have choices.

In addition to repairing the human rights mistakes of forced colonization that Britain has made, the British Labour Party has  pledged a British commitment to seeking remedial action for the Rohingya crisis and for the people of Yemen.

The Labour-Manifesto-2019

Britain’s Labour Party is calling for, “international peace and security [to be] a primary objective of a Labour government’s foreign policy. Britain deserves better than the Conservatives’ reckless approach to complex global challenges or the outsourcing of UK foreign policy to US President Donald Trump.”

Jeremy Corbyn’s policy statement concludes that, “failed military interventions in countries like Libya have worsened security across North Africa, accelerating the refugee crisis.”

The refugee crisis Corbyn refers to now amounts to some 70 million people living in horrible camps.

Feminine Perspective:

If every country had a Jeremy Corbyn in public office, the world would be a better place.
