According to modern international criminal law, there can be no excuse for genocide. The timing of the raid on al-Tabi’in school suggests an intent by Israel to inflict maximum civilian casualties. The assault on this educational facility in Gaza City’s al-Daraj district could potentially constitute a war crime, as it occurred during morning prayers.
It is stunning that as the slaughters continue like this, daily, in Gaza, the U.S. State Department under accused genocidal criminal Antony Blinken, formally notifies Congress of a direct sale involving 6,500 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) to Israel. This comes amid growing calls for an arms embargo against the government of Israel, which is accused of war crimes. JDAMs are guidance kits that convert unguided bombs into precise “smart” munitions. Despite the sale, valued at $262 million, being initially delayed in May for additional scrutiny, it is now proceeding.
The transfer of LU-109/B bombs to Israel is still currently on hold. Over 14,000 2000-pound LU-209/B munitions had already been shipped and used against the people of Gaza. One expert scientist suggests the death toll from these munitions which bury their victims is between 100,000 and 350,000 based on the numbers of people living in those hundreds of buildings bombed and the number destroyed.
