According to IHME, the United States hit the million mark in excess deaths due to COVID-19 on 6 September 2021. The CSPaC. tracking team says that milestone was reached today. There is not much difference.

“This is not random guessing,” says Kathy Poon, a medical researcher tracking infectious diseases from Singapore.

“Thanks to Donald Trump, who let the COVID-19 pandemic get completely out of control—and epidemiology 101 is where you learn from the outset that if an epidemic gets out of control, you don’t get it back under control for years—over one million Americans are estimated to have died because of COVID-19, as of today,” said the infectious disease researcher from Singapore in a Zoom call.

“It is so sad. America is in very serious trouble; its future is blurry; and that country is now a menace to the world. America will expand the number of SARS-CoV-2 variants, and spread infections by giving the virus more hosts at home and abroad. America has an increase of over 3 million ACTIVE CASES in the past thirty days.”

671,557 reported deaths as of today + more than 137,832 of the 8.6M active cases today will die in the next 30 days.

 

USA Active Cases grew by Three Million in Thirty days

“The overall case fatality rate in the USA is lowering as mild-outcome vaccinated patients skew the broad CFR statistic downwards, but the CFR  percentages go as high as 9% or more for certain categories of unvaccinated patients,” says Dr. Harris of the CSPaC tracking team.

“This is the most modest estimate of actual deaths in the United States from COVID-19. Several models now concur on these numbers. The actual deaths reported for today  are nearing 700,000,” explained the medical researcher, Ms. Poon.

“America has 8,614,556 active cases this morning and of those people there is a very high certainty 137,832 people will die by 12 October based on a CFR  that is wavering at the 1.6% mark,” she added.

“That number will be exacerbated between now and then by the number of daily increased active cases in the United States,” she added.

“The American epicenter including all territories has 39.77 % of the rest of the world’s ‘active‘ cases (that is 8,614,556 USA active cases including those in its territories / 21,658,851 Global  @ 2021-09-09 Time 12:06:36 GMT), people infected with COVID-19 now,” Ms. Poon added.
